Tank Noodle, 4953-55 N. Broadway
There are plenty of places on Argyle's "Phở Row" to find a bowl of this Vietnamese noodle soup, but Tank Noodle is probably the most popular destination for those looking to get their fix. BYOB and always bustling, it's great for larger groups of diners, and affordable, too.
Tweet, 5020 N. Sheridan Rd
A popular stop for the brunch crowd, Tweet features fresh, organic, vegetarian and gluten-free eating and killer Bloody Marys. Be forewarned—it's cash only and only open 'til 3pm.
Demera, 5050 N Clark St
Known as one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in the city, Demera provides a place to get a freshly-made, family-style meal of beef, lamb and plenty of vegetarian options. And you can eat your plate! Everything is served on injera, a traditional Ethiopian bread you use to scoop up your meal.

DRINKING
The Green Mill, 4802 N. Broadway St
This more than 100-year-old watering hole is the stuff of legend. In the 30s and 40s, it was a stage for the nation's best jazz musicians (and still features live jazz nearly every night of the week), as well as a hangout for one of Chicago's most notorious mobsters, Al Capone. It's a beautiful place to take in Chicago's history, listen to up-and-coming and established jazz musicians, and sip on a cocktail.

This sweet little coffee shop—which is appropriately an outpost of its mother location, a hybrid coffee and bicycle shop in Lincoln Park—is a great place to pick up a quick cup of carefully-brewed coffee, or a place to settle in on a cozy couch and catch up with friends.
